Teresia and Caleb's winter wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall

Old Marylebone Town Hall micro-wedding

Marylebone Town Hall wedding photography

I’ve been lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time at Old Marylebone Town Hall the last few months, capturing micro weddings and elopements. The staff at Marylebone are doing a brilliant job keeping everyone safe, whilst still making every ceremony feel beautiful, unique and special. It’s one of my favourite London registry office to work at right moment…

Plus of course, the building is beautiful inside and out. Teresia and Caleb’s wedding plans had already changed several times this year, like so many others’, and they finally got the chance to get married on 12 December, surrounded by just four close family and friends, and me. As their ceremony wasn’t scheduled until 4:30pm, and it gets dark so early at this time of year, we met beforehand for their couple photos.

There’s usually not too much colour to be found in nature at this time of year, but I was thrilled to see that quite a few roses were still in bloom, if slightly wilted, which added such a pretty and soft contrast to the silhouettes of winter trees. Definitely my kind of vibe.

We went for a relaxed walk around the park, trying not to get too muddy and were even blessed with a perfect flash of sunlight and pink sky just before it disappeared altogether. We then jumped in black cab and drove over to near Marylebone town hall for some more urban shots in the semi-darkness. London is such a romantic city in winter. Teresia’s stunning vintage winter coat (a hand-me-down from her grandma), added an extra special touch of wintery beauty to everything.

And here are some very kind words from Teresia:

“Diana photographed our town hall ceremony in London last month (we managed to squeeze it in between lockdowns!) and was absolutely wonderful to work with. Despite only speaking via Zoom beforehand and having 2 hours together on the day, she delivered a ton of beautiful and personal photographs. Diana immediately made us feel at ease on a day filled with nerves, and I can't thank her enough for capturing such happy memories in a time where we can all use them!”
