Katherine & Ian's Marylebone Town Hall elopement

Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding

I don't even know where to start with these too! Katherine and Ian had planned to elope to New York - one of their favourite places in the world - and also where they ran their first marathon together. But with all the restrictions on international travel this year, it soon became apparent that it just wasn’t going to happen. So they ended up in London instead, booked the Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony, me for their photos, and we had a good brainstorm of where to go. There were so many places they loved, we ended up making a day of it, driving all over London to their favourite spots.

It was such a fun, happy and relaxed day - an absolutely perfect distraction from all the doom and gloom on the news. Even summer momentarily returned for us. So Katherine and Ian exchanged their vows at Marylebone Town Hall, with just me and their driver Tony present - it was such an honour to be one of their witnesses as well - before we embarking on our whirlwind tour around London.

Oh and I should mention that they got ready at the stunning Renaissance Hotel in Kings Cross in the morning, which was an absolute treat. After the ceremony, we went for a stroll around the backstreets, and then for a hike up Primrose Hill to enjoy the views. Next stop was Borough Market for a coffee and look around the stalls, followed by a relaxed walk around St Dunstan in the East. It’s such a peaceful spot amongst the busyness of the city - although it’s pretty quiet around there at the moment anyway - and we took sometime for a rest and sit down to enjoy the unique vibe of the place. Back in the taxi, we headed down to the river for Katherine and Ian’s packed lunch. I loved the Waitrose sandwiches! and a bit more of a walk by the river before a well-earned bottle of bubbles on the rooftop and JinBo Law. Those views!

An absolutely perfect day. Thanks for having me along Katherine and Ian.

Diana is friendly and professional and really puts you at ease when taking photographs. Diana photographed our elopement at Old Marylebone Town Hall and the photos we got exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t stop looking at them and smile every time we do. They capture the story of our day so perfectly. We really couldn’t recommend Diana more strongly, she’s amazing and was fun to spend time with on our wedding day too!
