UK Wedding photography price guide

Diana was part of mine and my wife’s intimate wedding this August 2022. She was an absolute joy to have with us - she captured our special moments so beautifully, was beyond patient, and made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. She really managed to capture our natural dynamic and immortalised the day in such a stunning way. We couldn’t recommend Diana more highly!

What I do for you….

From the day you book me, I’ll happily share everything I’ve learned from photographing 300+ weddings with you.

I will capture your day in the most authentic, meaningful and beautiful way possibly. I’ll capture all the big moments and the little fun, emotional, random in-between ones. And I’ll be discreet about it. I will photograph all the details you have spent months designing.

I’ll prepare meticulously for your day… go through all the details with you, visit your venue, and make plans A, B and C - so we’re all set whether it rains, shines or anything else weird happens.

I’ll listen to what’s most important to you, so I can photograph your day in a way that’s perfect for you.

I will ask you to commit to 20-30 minutes for your couple photos. You might well feel a bit awkward about this part, but there’s no need to worry. I’ll take you for a walk and we have a good laugh, and the photos happen very naturally. It’s my mission to make you feel at ease!…

I’ll jump up and down with excitement when the light is extra stunning or I have discovered a really gorgeous angle to photograph you from.

I’ll take any family photos you want, but strongly recommend you keep them to 10 groups maximum (I’ll explain…)

I will give you a consistently high quality set of photographs full of emotion, love and personality that reflects the vibe of your day.

I’ll be your friend and ally throughout our time working together.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET?

There’s no cap on the number of photos you receive. The exact number varies a bit from wedding to wedding, depending on the format of your day etc. On average you can expect to receive between 500 - 700 photos for full day coverage, and 150 - 300 for elopement packages.

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?

You'll receive a sneak peek preview within 48 hours of your wedding, which includes around 20 photos, and often a bit more than that as I get carried away! You'll receive all your photos within 4- 6 weeks.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS FOR?

I can’t quite believe it myself - it’s now my 9th year of photographing weddings. And I’m still loving it, in fact I’m enjoying it much more than at the beginning. I’m so much more confident in my work and really feel I can contribute a lot to a wedding day through my experience and skill. There’s not much that can rattle me these days. :) As well as documenting your day beautifully, I enjoy being a calm and reassuring presence on your day, and a friendly face that you can turn to for advice.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED?

If you are thinking of full day coverage and are following a fairly traditional wedding day format - my 10 hour package should work great for you. From my experience, I’m usually with you for about 8-10 hours. This allows me to cover getting ready photos through to a few songs after the first dance, without having to rush. During that time I can really capture all the different parts and full story of the day. Occasionally couples need to add an extra hour and that’s also totally fine - this usually only happens if you are having a wedding with different cultural elements and performances that might stretch the day out for longer. Every wedding is different and it’s usually easiest if we just have a chat through your plans and see what works best.

DO I NEED ONE OR TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS?

It's entirely up to you. I usually recommend getting a second photographer if you'd like photos of both of you getting ready, or if  you have more than 100 guests and are keen to get lots of candid shots of your guests. You will receive more photographs if you book 2 photographers and we are able to capture more angles, which is particularly helpful during the ceremony.

WE ARE A BIT CLUELESS ABOUT WEDDING PLANNING. CAN YOU HELP US?

Yes! Over the years, I have put together a wedding planning guide with bits and pieces that I’ve learned, and I share this with all my couples. It includes info on thinks like how much time to allow for different elements of the day, how to approach your group photo list, how your couple photos work and a list of brilliant wedding vendors I’ve worked with in the past. All my clients are also welcome to get in touch anytime and run things past me as you plan your day.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, I have equipment and public liability and indemnity insurance.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK?

In case of a sudden emergency or illness, I would do everything in my power find a replacement photographer for you. I am a member of a brilliant network of wedding photographers across the UK and we help each other out in such situations. This would be absolute worst case scenario, and I have so far always been able to attend every wedding I have booked. This will also all be spelled out in detail in your contract.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

I shoot with professional level full-frame Sony Cameras and have a wide selection of lenses suitable for all venue sizes and lighting situations. I also bring lighting for darker venues. I carry three camera bodies, so there’s no need to worry about technical failures as there’s always a backup option.

HOW DO WE BOOK?

If you decide to go ahead, I will ask you to sign my contract and also take a 25% deposit of the package price to secure your date.

CAN WE HAVE A CHAT BEFORE WE BOOK?

Absolutely! I would love to say Hello and hear more about your plans for the big day. We usually do a video call via Zoom if that suits you.

Diana was an absolute joy to have as part of our wedding day - she was completely professional, incredibly efficient and a warm but calming presence. She offers the perfect blend of giving great direction when needed whilst also being completely discreet and never obtrusive during more intimate moments such as the ceremony.

I really appreciated the pre-meet with Diana and I feel like she completely nailed the brief - we have since received an unbelievable number of gorgeous photos (my only challenge now is to pick my favourites!) and she achieved a brilliant blend of street style / captured moments with traditional and more contemporary back drops. Diana - thank you for capturing our day so beautifully!
