Getting married on a cold and dark Monday in early January isn’t the most typical thing to do, and just goes to show that there are many reasons to break with tradition. We couldn’t have hoped for nicer winter’s day, London was quiet, the Christmas lights were still up and the light was just gorgeous. I absolutely loved Tulsi and Dan’s style too. Have a look for yourself…
I was so excited about photographing Gemma and Jon’s Great Fosters Hotel wedding. I had only just got back from the New Zealand summer, so the cold and dark was a bit of a shock! But the gorgeous cozy Christmas vibe at Great Fosters totally made up for it. One thing bear in mind with winter weddings is how early it gets dark. But we managed to sneak out for a few outdoor shots, despite the rain, and some pretty cool evening photos later on too. If you like fairy lights, this one is for you! ❤️🧚♂️
Last Sunday I went for a little wander around Ashdown Forest with Maisie, Charlie and their little dog Lulu for their engagement session. A super relaxed afternoon and I absolutely love the winter light and colours. ❤️
During my visit in Auckland this year, I had the pleasure of working with Jay and Jacey twice, once for their engagement session, and then again on their beautiful wedding day. I loved Jacey’s attention to detail - everything looked so perfect and stunning. Their ceremony was entirely held in Korean, so I had no idea what wat being said, but it was still one of the sweetest and most emotional wedding ceremonies I’ve ever photographed.
So I’m in Auckland at the moment, and the Tree Church in Hamilton was definitely worth travelling for. A totally stunning and unique spot for Jay and Jacey’s early morning pre-wedding session. The kind of place where I could keep shooting and shooting for hours, so may possibilities and gorgeous light… enjoy!
Andrea and Flavio’s autumn wedding at Smallfield Place was a perfect blend of Italian and Kiwi laid-back family atmosphere, gorgeous food, simple elegance, beautiful music and plain old love and joy. I loved capturing every minute of it… and I’ll never forget that incredible oozy cheese! ❤️
Capturing Hannah & PJ’s gorgeous wedding was definitely one of the highlights of my New Zealand trip this year. I just loved their style, and they were total champs to work with. We tramped across a field with grass up to our elbows trying to avoid a sink hole, wandered down the middle of an empty highway and and sat on a pick up truck in hot glaring sunlight. And all along they looked cool as…
Ludmilla and Sean are getting married in Bali next year. Yesterday, they braved the brisk October wind at Piha for their engagement session. We had such an awesome hour together just before sunset. The light was beautiful and the two of them were all up for a bit of adventure, climbing over dunes and rocks and getting their feet wet. #adventurealways ❤️
Photographing Alannah and Oli’s gorgeous London wedding was a total treat. Brompton Oratory was a stunning backdrop for their ceremony (the choir was incredible!). We then wandered around the streets for a few photos before arriving at Brooks’s club in Mayfair for the afternoon reception. Formalities over, and all was set for a relaxed dinner cruise on the Silver Barracuda. Enjoy…
One of my favourite discoveries this summer were the Pergola Hill Gardens in Hampstead. It’s such a peaceful, pretty and romantic place - the perfect secret garden for an engagement session. Here are Tulsi and Daniel. I can’t wait to capture their wedding day next year.
